Our Badlands Tours pick you up directly from your accommodations and whisks you away to the most important places you'll find in the region. The Badlands got its name for a reason, and we're going to show you why. Keep your eyes open for all kinds of furry creatures like the American Bison or Buffalo, Antelope, cute little Prairie Dogs, Bighorn Sheep, Coyotes and who knows what other critters!
This is a full day Badlands Tour with all your admissions, lunch, water and snacks included. All you have to bring is your curiosity and a smile. We'll take our time for photos, educational opportunities and memorable moments. Places we'll see on our Badlands National Park tours are Wall Drug (Awesome), the Delta-9 Missile Museum and maybe even a secret Ghost Town.
The Badlands National Park can be described as an open book of geological history, with all the pages open at one time. You'll find rich colors in each layer, with a story of what the Badlands was like over millions of years.
Viewpoints are abundant, within the North Unit my favorites are Pinnacles Overlook and Panorama Point. There are an abundance of these along the Badlands Loop Road.
Like all lands of this area, the Lakota are its original inhabitants. The Badlands are Lakota Territory and sacred. With that said, we observe and respect the land to the best of our ability.
While we'll make the most of the Northern Unit of the Park, we'll also do our best to show you the Stronghold Unit containing Sheep's Head Table and the Stronghold Table. Both sacred places to the Lakota, and rumored to the place where the last Ghost Dance was performed. Before heading out, we'll stop at the Ben Reifel Visitor Center near Interior South Dakota.
