Canaveral Tours provides transportation and security clearance for you to visit the Lighthouse and Hanger C during open house special events. The tour is approximately 2 hours spending about 1 1/2 hours on site.
The lighthouse foundation has docents and volunteers who will provide a semi-guided tour and answer questions during your visit to the lighthouse and museum. You will learn why we needed a lighthouse at Cape Canaveral and how it was key in making Cape Canaveral home to Spaceflight.
Hanger C, the first hanger erected on the Space force Station, stands next door to the lighthouse and is now home to many refurbished spaceflight artifacts. The Air & Space Missile Museum will have the hanger open for visiting and have volunteers on-site to answer any questions.
***Reservations are required in advance for clearance by the Space Force. U.S. citizens are required to provide security information 2 days in advance.
Lighthouse FAQs :
- There is a minimum height of 48 inches to climb the lighthouse.
- Climbing inside the lighthouse is restricted to the first 5 floors, outside stairs weather permitting.
- Closed-toed shoes are required to climb, flip-flops, sandals, open-toed shoes are not permitted.
- Restrooms are available on campus.
