We take you on a journey through the evolution of exploration as we visit the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse that guided explorers around the Florida coast, to the launch pads that propelled our ships into orbit, and look toward the new frontier of planetary travel.

Canaveral Tours provides a 4-hour tour of the Canaveral Lighthouse and Canaveral Space Force Station. The tour takes you to the lighthouse, where you are provided a guided tour by a Lighthouse Foundation guide.  You will learn why we needed a lighthouse at Cape Canaveral and how it was key in making Cape Canaveral home to Spaceflight. The tour route allows views of launch sites used for early research and development of our missile program. Walk into the blockhouse where we launched our first satellite into space and peruse exhibits of missile and spaceflight activities. Stand where we sent Alan Shepherd into space and began the Mercury program and manned spaceflight.

***The tour is approximately 4 hours. Reservations are required in advance to receive privileges' onto the Space Force Station. U.S. citizens are required to provide security information 2 days in advance.  Foreign visitor information is required 4 days in advance

*** Personal identification information is required in advance and preferred at time of booking. If identification is not received in advance per above reservations limits we will be forced to cancel the reservation with no refund.

A 4 person minimum is required to run the tour, We will advise 3 days prior and make arrangements to transfer your booking to another date or issue a full refund.

A hold harmless agreement must be signed on the day of the tour for access to AF Station.

Lighthouse FAQs :

  • There is a minimum height of 48 inches to climb the lighthouse.
  • Climbing inside the lighthouse is restricted to the first 5 floors, outside stairs weather permitting. 
  • No luggage or suitcases are allowed on station.
  • Cameras and camera bags are welcome.
