Garden of the Gods is one of the gems of the Front Range climbing scene and as the only certified guides operating in the park we're excited to show you the best climbing it has to offer. This National Natural Landmark is located in Colorado Springs and features amazing sandstone spires jutting hundreds of feet into the air. The sandstone spires against the blue skies feature everything from beginner slabs climbs to difficult cracks and desert towers. All with Pikes Peak as the backdrop as you climb while falcons fly through the area and mule deer occasionally wander by. There are a variety of climbs that make this an excellent location for beginners as well as more challenging trips for climbers with more experience. With the pleasant weather of Colorado Springs fall is one of the best times and with frequently pleasant weather in winter we can even combine this with a morning of ice climbing in North Cheyenne Canyon

Red Rock Canyon is another city park that, while it's part of the same geological formation, isn't quite as revered as Garden of the Gods. The climbs here are a great location for learning to sport lead or for beginner climbers looking for a little more solitude. Bear and deer are not uncommon and the north-south orientation makes it a great location for early summer mornings. Because the sandstone can become fragile when wet we cannot climb here for a day or two after it rains and will often head to the granite of North Cheyenne Canyon as a backup.
