Do you want to experience an exhilarating adventure on a tropical island? Look no further than rock climbing in Puerto Rico! Individuals and families alike can enjoy this exciting activity, regardless of skill level. No experience is required.

The mountain range boasts two distinct bulges nicknamed Las Tetas de Cayey, with a peak elevation of 2,762 feet / 842 m. Local climbers flock to the area for its long, slabby climbs, balance challenges, great afternoon weather, and breathtaking views. Along the way, you can discover wild coffee growing at the trail's entrance, as well as other fruits in the area. Just be cautious of the spicy chilies (Ají)–they're not for the faint of heart!

Las Tetas lies at the southern end of the mountain municipality of Cayey, near the beginning of Salinas, a mere 1-hour drive south of San Juan. The climbing area is composed of basalt volcanic rock, and the mountain's height allows for an uninterrupted view of the mountain range and the Caribbean's southern coast. Once you exit the highway, take the old mountain road "PR-1." You'll find many "chinchorros" (food and drink spots) that offer a variety of comfort foods. Our top recommendation is the 'Lechonera "El Cuñao," known for its pork on a pike. It's the ideal way to fuel up after an invigorating day of climbing!

Fun Fact: Cerro Las Tetas is situated in Salinas, not Cayey. Nevertheless, it's commonly referred to as Las Tetas de Cayey, possibly because the mountain range is called La Sierra de Cayey, which spans multiple municipalities.
