Intro to Ice Course:
This course is your gateway into the world of ice climbing! We offer Ouray's most comprehensive and thorough introduction to ice climbing in this 2-day course at the Ouray Ice Park.
Getting into ice climbing is an intimidating prospect, but our guides create a safe, comfortable, and fun learning environment that lets you focus on what you're here to do: learn to climb ice!
We meet at 7:30am on the first day for gear fitting, then head into the Ice Park. We meet at 7:45am on the second day.
What you’ll learn:

How to properly set-up top rope anchors

Foundational ice climbing safety

Basics of ice movement

How to confidently belay, lower, and communicate with your climber

How to tie appropriate knots for various climbing scenarios

How to efficiently climb grade 3-4 ice
Your ice journey begins here, and we couldn't be more excited to start it with you!
