One great spot to climb is El Pasillo Frio (The Cold Hallway), developed over the past few years and now boasts more than 60+ routes, with more being added all the time. Located at the top of a mountain range between Juana Diaz and Villalva, it offers beautiful views of the island's center and a refreshing breeze.
It's no wonder it's a local favorite, with some climbers even considering it the best limestone style in Puerto Rico. Climbers will be rewarded with a stunning view of the Toa Vaca Lake and the surrounding countryside in Villalba once they reach the top. The hike to get there is an intermediate approach of half a mile from the parking area.
The climbing difficulty ranges from intermediate to elite level, so there's something for everyone. And best of all, it's only about an hour's drive from San Juan.
