NM | Hike | Hot Spring Bliss

This hike is a beautiful eight mile out and back moderate adventure through green mountain forested areas at 7,500-9,000 feet with a stream accessible most of the way. There are some cold soaking opportunities on the way to some pristine hot springs in an amazing canyon setting. Summer, spring, and fall, you are able to hike, run, or bike to the destination. In the winter months you can hike, snowshoe, or cross country ski in, depending on the severity of the snowpack. Depending on fitness level, this trip takes anywhere from 4-10 hours. The time estimation includes soaking in the hot springs for two hours. There is also a loop option with a shuttle. Either way you choose to do it, it is well worth it. This is one of the more stellar and rewarding hikes in the area. Bringing a full lunch along with a gallon of water is highly suggested. This is a great adventure with some healing waters involved and not to be missed.
