At only 1 1/2 hour drive from Portland and 30 mins from the coast, Saddle Mountain is one of my favorite hikes in the Portland area! Saddle Mountain is the highest point in Northwest Oregon at 3,287 feet above sea level. The hike itself is a short, but fairly steep, 4.5 miles with 1,791 feet of gain (round trip). On a clear day you can see the Pacific Ocean and Oregon Coast, Columbia River Gorge, Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, and more! Epic photos along the way included (: Don’t miss out on this gem of the PNW!

About Me: Hello Hikers! My name is Jordan! I am originally from the Midwest (Indiana, go Hoosiers!) but have been living in the Pacific Northwest for almost 3 years now. I spent my first two years out here living in Bellingham, WA, where I explored much of the North Cascades. I have been living in Portland, OR, since March of 2019. Over my time in the PNW, I have hiked over 500 miles across more than 90 trails! I also dabble in photography. I shoot all of my photos with a Nikon D3400. Check out my Instagram to see some of my work: @jobinjones. I would love to share all of the beauty the Pacific Northwest has to offer with you! Hope to see you out there! Happy Trails, Jordan
