Taylor Luneau

About me

Taylor is the Policy Manager for the American Alpine Club where he strives to represent the interests of the climbing community by working with land managers and elected officials on matters such as access, management and conservation. Prior to beginning his work in the environmental advocacy world, he worked as a part-time guide in New England, bringing folks out to explore the mountains on rock, ice and snow. Taylor has more than a decade of climbing experience and has been facilitating climbing days for novice and advanced guests, of and on, since 2013. He has completed severel introductory guide courses with the AMGA, including the Ice Instructor course, and is an Apprentice rock and alpine guide. If you're psyched on chasing early season ice, learning how to kick crampons for your first time, challenging yourself on hard rock routes or scrambling in the high peaks of the San Juans, Taylor would be happy to help you with your goals. He's also sucker for chatting about climbing policies and regulations, so if you want a full value day, give him a shout.
